1. San Diego Zoo (San Diego, California) 

It's huge and has lots of different animals, including rare ones. They also work to protect animals. 

2. Bronx Zoo (New York City, New York) 

This zoo in the city is really big and has cool exhibits like ones where you can see gorillas and tigers up close. 

3. Smithsonian National Zoo (Washington, D.C.) 

It's in the capital city and is famous for its pandas and lots of other animals.

4. Oregon Zoo (Portland, Oregon) 

This zoo is in a forest and works to help animals. They have cool habitats, like one for elephants. 

5. Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium (Omaha, Nebraska) 

This zoo has the biggest indoor desert and rainforest in North America.  

6. Columbus Zoo and Aquarium (Columbus, Ohio)

It's really big and has over 10,000 animals from all over.  

7. Audubon Zoo (New Orleans, Louisiana) 

You can see animals like jaguars and learn about the environment. 

8. Denver Zoo (Denver, Colorado) 

It's in a park and has cool exhibits like ones where you can see lions and elephants in a natural setting.
